Last minute tickets available for Gala Concerts for seniors

18 November 2011

Minister for Ageing Andrew Constance has announced NSW seniors will have another chance to attend the Premier’s Christmas Gala Concerts when additional tickets are released next Tuesday (22 November).

“The concert series is staged twice a year by the NSW Government to thank seniors for their ongoing contributions to family, workplaces and communities,” Mr Constance said.

“The theme for this year’s Premier’s Christmas Gala Concerts is All Wrapped Up For Christmas. This year’s event, to be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre next month and open to people 60 years and over, proved to be extremely popular with all available seats initially allocated being booked out within hours.”

A number of last minute tickets will be available for the concert on Tuesday 6 December and the two concerts on Wednesday 7 December.

“Tickets available at this time are usually single tickets and upper gallery seats returned by people unable to attend due to illness or other circumstances,” Mr Constance said.

The release of last minute tickets will take place from 9am on Tuesday 22 November.

These tickets will be available online at, or can be obtained in person at participating NSW Ticketmaster outlets or by phoning 1300 855 501 for the cost of a local call. Due to the demand, lengthy delays may be experienced if booking by telephone.

A total of 30,000 free tickets are made available for the three concerts held over 6-7 December.

The next Premier’s Seniors Week Gala Concerts will be held 19-20 March next year during NSW Seniors Week. Tickets to those concerts will go on sale on Tuesday 7 February 2012.
