Tickets available soon for Senior Gala Concerts

7 October 2011

Minister for Ageing Andrew Constance today announced that free tickets to the Premier’s Christmas Gala Concerts will become available for NSW seniors from 9am Tuesday 18 October 2011.

The theme for the two concerts, open to seniors aged 60 years or older and to be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 7 December, is All Wrapped Up For Christmas.

“The concerts are an opportunity for the NSW Government to thank seniors for their ongoing contributions to family, workplaces and communities,” Mr Constance said.

“This is an extremely popular event and all the tickets are expected to be snapped up before lunchtime on 18 October.”

“I encourage anyone who wants tickets - and it is important to note there is a limit of four per person - to book online if they have access to an internet connection and email.”

Seniors wishing to book online can register a free account with Ticketmaster in advance, or can update their existing account to ensure their contact information is correct. This will assist in ensuring people can book quickly and easily at from 9am on Tuesday 18 October.

Tickets can also be booked in person at participating NSW Ticketmaster outlets or by phoning 1300 855 501.

The Premier’s Gala Concerts, managed by Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC), are staged twice a year in the lead up to Christmas and during Seniors Week in March.

The line-up for this year’s event will be confirmed soon. For more information, go to:
