Premier’s Christmas Gala Concerts booked out

16 October 2012

All tickets to the 2012 Premier’s Christmas Gala Concerts at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on 4 and 5 December are now booked out.

Minister for Ageing Andrew Constance said the concerts are extremely popular with seniors and all available tickets were allocated within just a few short hours of being released today.

Mr Constance said that people who missed out on gaining tickets still had a chance to attend because a limited number of tickets are usually returned by people who were unable to attend for various reasons.

The release of any last minute tickets will take place from 9.00am on Thursday 22 November 2012. These tickets will be available through Ticketmaster; online at, in person at participating NSW Ticketmaster outlets or by phoning 1300 855 501 for the cost of a local call. If booking by telephone, callers may experience lengthy delays due to demand for tickets.

The Premier’s Gala Concerts are staged twice per year by the NSW Government to thank seniors for their ongoing contributions to family, work places and the general community. Up to 30,000 free tickets are available for each concert series for NSW residents aged 60 years of age or older.

The theme for this year’s Premier’s Christmas Gala Concert is ‘Christmas by the Beach’, with performers to be announced closer to the event. Previous performers have included some of Australia’s biggest names in entertainment including Rhonda Burchmore, Jonathan Biggins, Denise Scott and Fiona O’Loughlin.

The next Premier’s Gala Concerts will be held on 18 and 19 March 2013 during 2013 NSW Seniors Week. Tickets to those concerts will be available from Tuesday 5 February 2013.
