Multicultural communities to have their say over delivery of disability services

“The consultations mark a further step in the consultation process which began with 500 people attending the Living Life My Way summit in July,” Mr Constance said.
“Since that time more than 100 consultations have been held throughout the State.”
“This important reform is key to giving people with a disability control over their own lives and futures. Every individual has the right to choice, respect and the best support services that can be offered.”
People who cannot attend a consultation can make a submission by either:
- Calling 1800 605 489 (interpreters are available upon request),
- Emailing pcaconsultations@facs.nsw.gov.au or
- Writing to the Manager, Person Centred Approaches Team, Ageing, Disability and Home Care, Department of Family and Community Services, Level 5, 83 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
Verbal and written submissions must be received by 31 October 2011.
Consultations for people with a disability, their families and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities will take place at the following locations:
