Disability Service

11 Jul 2016

To support the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the NSW Government is transferring all of its specialist disability services to the non-government sector by 30 June 2018.

Transferring disability services to the non-government sector will give people with disability greater choice and support a strong and diverse disability services market in NSW.

On 16 May 2016, the NSW Government opened the next stage of the transfer with an Expression of Interest (EOI) which closed on Friday 24 June 2016.

Through the EOI process non-government service providers have given formal feedback about the services that interest them, their capability and capacity to deliver those services, and how they propose to deliver those services.

A formal process will now begin to select new service providers.

Updates on the transfer process can be viewed at http://ndis.nsw.gov.au/about-ndis-nsw/transfer-of-nsw-disability-services/.
