Office for Ageing

The Office for Ageing (OFA) is a policy unit that provides strategic advice to the Secretary and Minister for Ageing on the implications of population ageing and the needs of older people in the community that sits within the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) NSW.

The OFA leads and supports collaborative cross-agency work on major issues related to the ageing population in NSW. The OFA works across the public, private and non-government organisation sectors to build awareness and promote appropriate policies, practices and services for older people.

NSW has a great opportunity to realise the benefits of an ageing population and to harness the contribution of seniors in our communities. Equally important will be empowering people to plan ahead for the future they envisage in their later years.
