About the Living Life My Way Ambassadors and Champions Program

The Living Life My Way Ambassadors and Champions Program initiative was launched in April 2012 and has now concluded. In 2013, the Minister appointed 47 people with disability and family members as Ambassadors and Champions. They shared their experiences, encouraged others to think about their own possibilities and raised community awareness about person centred approaches. Ambassadors and Champions have presented to thousands of people at more than 800 events across NSW. The feedback about those presentations has been overwhelmingly positive.

While the Ambassadors and Champions Program has concluded, 34 former Ambassadors and Champions are keen to promote their public speaking work in an independent capacity. To assist, their profiles have been updated to include individual emails, so that any organisation seeking their services can contact them directly.

Please read about the 33 former Ambassadors and Champions who are available for public speaking engagements.

For any other questions about the former Ambassador and Champions Program, please email LLMWChampions@facs.nsw.gov.au, or call (02) 9377 6057.
