Delivering HACC services
The Home and Community Care (HACC) Program is a joint Australian and state/territory government program that provides support to frail aged people, younger people with a disability and their carers. The program helps clients remain at home and prevent inappropriate or premature admission to residential care.
HACC due recognition
As of 1 July 2007, the HACC Program requires service providers to formally acknowledge the Australian Government contribution to the program. This is to ensure that the Australian community is being informed about how public funding is spent.

Funding
The HACC program is a jointly funded Australian and state/territory government program, established under the Home and Community Care Act 1985.
Each financial year, the Ministers representing the NSW and Australian governments approve the HACC Annual Supplement, specifying the planned service outputs and funding allocations in each Local Planning Area (LPA) and statewide and capital projects.
See funding and grants for details on how funding is allocated for delivery of services and Tenders NSW for information on current and past tenders.
HACC Resource Allocation Formula
The distribution of total HACC Program funding across Local Planning Areas (LPAs) is based on a Resource Allocation Formula (RAF).
